The hotel impressed me with its charming vintage styling, complemented by modern touches. I thoroughly enjoyed the comprehensive breakfast selection, which included an array of hot and cold options, not to mention the lovely coffee - they even provided additional free filter coffee. The staff made me feel welcome , accommodating my request for an earlier check-in without any fuss. the hotel's location is perfect for accessing Melbourne's various sporting venues, including the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground and Rod Laver Arena, which is a nice perk for sports enthusiasts.
Minor issues with billing.

After a long flight, I stood outside struggling with my bags while the staff just watched. It felt so unwelcoming, especially for a supposedly high-end hotel. Just really let down.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this hotel. Enjoyed the property, it is stunningly beautiful and clean, has marvellous and amazing location right across from the free tram zone. The breakfast was exceptional with many different options for all sorts of dietary requirements, an espresso coffee and also poached eggs and had something for everyone. The staff was super-friendly and extremely friendly, friendly service...

the room was spacious, clean, and the king-size bed offered the best night's sleep I've had in ages. The location is fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my entire visit.
Breakfast selection could be improved with some more vegetarian options.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The location was spot-on, super convenient for grabbing lunch and dinner after a long workday. My room was clean, cozy, and had a charming vibe thanks to its historic features. Plus, the breakfast was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local street art from my window!
I did run into a couple of issues. I was surprised to find out I had to pay extra for coffee at breakfast, especially after paying for the buffet. the gym could use more free weight equipment, and I wasn't a fan of having to sign up for Wi-Fi access; the constant emails afterward were a bit much!
